Gameplay Stats: 5 hours, 26 minutes, 48% completion
I got the itch to play Hollow Knight again, sue me!I have watched a lot of randomizer content on YouTube (mostly while working from home in COVID) and I decided to give one a go! I justified it a bit to myself by aiming for one of the last achievements I have in the game, finishing in under 5 hours.
The installation was mostly pretty easy! There's a whole wiki devoted to the randomizer and the set up was pretty straight forward. You download a single installer and then just choose which mods to add after that. I ended up using Bench Warp pretty liberally, but it was honestly needed. I did get myself stuck a few times. It was nice to be able to prevent the soft lock, but I did abuse it a little if I'm honest.
I had a really good time playing the game like this. I've played through probably 5 times, so I'm fairly familiar with the map and very familiar with the mechanics. I think this was the best way to revisit the game if I'm being completely honest. This allowed me to experience something new while experiencing something old.
I will play this randomizer again since I wasn't able to achieve my goal, but I don't know if it'll be right away. I don't know if I will try any other randomizers, but if I do it would probably be Link to the Past since I've played that game so many times over the years.

Edit: Got the Under 5 hours Speedrun achievement! This randomizer is really fun. I'll probably give it another go sometime soon.
