More playing a game that somehow looks and feels like a Pixar movie!

Visuals: Holy crap they improved upon something that was darn near perfect. The game still looks like a Pixar movie but a more recent Pixar movie. It's kind of insane. Everything that I said about the previous game in the series very much applies here. They added more enemy variety which I think was my only minor gripe in the previous game!

Audio: I think this is the only area where the previous game shines more than this one. The previous game had some John Williams sounding music, but the music in this game is more generic by far. Nothing bad about it, but it's simply serviceable where the previous game was delightful. I think the voice actors that returned to this game got some more practice under their belt, Ratchet and Clank sound better. And I think the new voice cast that they added also did a great job.

Plot: Dimensions! This doesn't really matter that much, but it was an excuse for them to flex a little bit about what they were able to do on the PS5. Being able to have a couple different areas loaded simultaneously and being able to have the game swap between them is seriously impressive. A few dimensions colliding is essentially what the plot is about, so it game them a lot of room to play around with the central gimmick of the game.

Gameplay: More guns, more platforming, more puzzles, and also more gadgets! It's more Ratchet and Clank, I've got no notes. The game has you switching back and for between Ratchet and Rivet as your playable Lombax and I'm really glad they they don't really have an impact on your loadout or anything, although it could be a missed opportunity. The game feels pretty tight and it seems like a wholesale improvement over the previous in this realm.

This game is legitimately great. I definitely recommend it for anyone interested, no hesitations.
