Man. I honestly think you could essentially copy/paste my review of Nioh here and it would be fine. The only big difference is that this game has a Final Fantasy aesthetic which is nice. I liked seeing all of the beasts I've grown fond of over my game playing career and I liked being able to change the jobs between all of the familiar jobs. The music and visuals were all quite nice. I did hate the loot issue just as much here as I did with Nioh, I just don't think getting stupid amounts of equipment is very fun. The story was also pretty nonsense, it was a prequel of the original Final Fantasy game in an unexpected and pretty fun way. Lots of nonsense though. I enjoyed my time with it, but it's definitely a "wait for sale" kind of a recommendation from me.
