A single randomizer spanning TWO Zelda games?! Yep. The Happy Mask Shop in Hyrule Castle Town (OOT) links directly with the Clock Town clocktower (MM), you can find items for either game in any location/chest/check and you need to complete both games.
At first this was a lot. I could keep track of one game in my mind pretty easily after doing all the OOT randomizer earlier in the year but two games was a lot. I ended up finding out about the Emo Tracker which is a tracker for a whole bunch of randomizer games that keeps track of your items and all of the checks that you have/haven't completed. It even tells you which things are available to you at any given time! So helpful. I really don't think I would've been able to complete a single seed without the tracker. But I did 2 with it!
This really is a ton of fun, I had a great time. Playing again on an emulator instead of with the Ship of Harkinian was a bit of a downgrade, but I am hopeful that maybe in the next year or two when Majora's Mask receives the same treatment that I can play through both games with the better controls/sounds/options. Maybe it will include a tracker in the program as well! I think SoH has one included for OOT but I didn't mess around with it much. Maybe just one more OOT seed...
