I don't really want to get into this too deep for fear of spoilers. But I found out relatively recently that Control and Alan Wake take place in the same universe, so I wanted to play Alan Wake to better understand Control since Control is one of my favorites. The story in this game is incredible. Very fun from start to Finnish. (HAH) But I didn't particularly enjoy the gameplay. It felt clunky, like a game from a decade ago would be expected to. I'd absolutely recommend playing this game for the story, but I'd recommend playing the game on easy to breeze through some of the gameplay. It feels a little unfair in a way that I believe is intentional. But that doesn't really make it feel better to play.
