I don't really feel like doing a bit long write-up for this one, I've played enough of this series that if anyone wanted more of my opinions there are plenty to be found.
I think this is the weakest in the Shantae series that I've played! The looks/sounds/feel of the game is still very good. They added enemy cards which function like enemy souls in the Castlevania games I just played. For some of the skills you need several cards drops to be able to equip the skill. I think this is a great way to incentivize fighting small enemies. The problem here is that the skills don't make a big amount of difference, apart from the one that lets you slowly regain mana. I think the UI was annoying to use, this game was originally designed for mobile and it looks like it. And this was the only Shantae game where I ran into bugs. I spent a couple of hours scouring the map for the last couple of collectibles because they didn't notify correctly while exploring. Annoying.
I'd recommend any of the other games in this series over this one.
